Graphisoft®’s ArchiCAD® has reached its latest milestone with the release of ArchiCAD 8.1. The world’s most versatile tool for AEC industry design professionals just got even better!

The ArchiCAD 8.1 release is free to ArchiCAD 8 users and offers greater performance, versatility and stability than ever before. A whole host of tweaks, refinements and enhancements are included in ArchiCAD 8.1. Some of the tangible results of these refinements are:

• Enhanced documentation management
• Streamlined interface
• Extensions to the Virtual Building™
• Improved external compatibility

2D drawings are now even easier to produce and organize with the enhancements made to the Project Navigator. Even large documentation sets can be published in a controlled, organized manner.

Users will be pleased to see the one-key shortcuts, even for toolbox items. Many other user interface refinements are included, saving time for users and simplifying the overall design process.

The introduction of solid operations based on Boolean geometry in ArchiCAD 8.1 means that almost any form can now be modeled. Other refinements allow users to assert much greater control over the Virtual Building™.

Recognizing that users of other 2D solutions still need to communicate with the 3D world of ArchiCAD, DWG/DXF import and export compatibility in ArchiCAD 8.1 is now more seamless than ever, allowing consultants using 2D CAD programs to simply exchange information with architects using ArchiCAD.
