These ‘Hatteras' tests were conducted in parallel with beta testing, but with a difference. For days the architects pushed the product to the extremes in front of our development team. Here the emphasis was not so much on the technical, but rather the general impression and the feel of the software, connecting developer and user. It allowed us to hone AC 9 further to meet the actual requirements of today's working architect. The ‘hatteras' testing level was inspired by the Jules Vernes character Captain Hatteras, who defied adversity in his epic voyage to the Pole.

Refined enhancements

• Several refinements in to the DWG/DXF® interface make the import/export process easier with a richer end result.
• Sophisticated NCS compliant grid-based drawing numbering system makes the management of large documentation sets virtually effortless.
• Improved installer options provide efficient maintenance of the software environment within larger offices.
